Day 9 - TdF07
Well... stage 8 of this year's Tour de France turned out to be a nightmare for Aussies. We started the day with 5 Australian riders in the race, and ended the day with only two. Poor Stuart O'Grady and Michael Rogers crashed and Robbie McEwen was "too slow". *sigh* Since all three suffered injuries in crashes, all I can say is "Get Well Soon" guys. I enjoyed watching you ride and I look forward to seeing you all in next year's race.

Here's "Take Two" on the sock. It actually fits now LOL. Will start on the other one ASAP. I just realised the coverage has already started for tonight, so I'm off to watch.
Thanks for the comments, I'm planning on writing up the "Canterbury Dash" info and I'll also let you know about the toe pattern.
Go Cadel!

Day 8 - TdF07
Here's what I worked on last night...

It wasn't supposed to be, but it became a "swatch"... it was too big (even though I'd done the maths!)
It's gone to the frog pond and I'll try again.

Bloomin' Gorgeous Feet and other goodness
I'm back, from being gone this week, and I was greeted by TWO international packages; one parcel and one box. (I *LOVE* international packages LOL).
The box contained...

My beautiful
Bloomin' Feet socks (see below), a cute keyring sock blocker that was sporting a sock that matches my
Bloomin' Feet socks, some Trader Joe's chocolate (smells delicious but I haven't opened it yet), 2 skeins of
Artyarns Supermerino in the most wonderful purple colourway (#126) and a set of
Clover bamboo DPNs size 2/2.75mm which is a size I can't get here (we can only get 2.5mm, 3mm, 3.5mm, 4mm & 4.5mm in Clover bamboo DPNs)!

Yarn:
Socks That Rock in the "Lapis" colourway
Pattern:

Hillary!
Hillary, you really "nailed" me with your colour, yarn, pattern and goodies choices! I've had the pattern on my list of "socks I want to knit" for ages now and the colours are "me" all over. The socks fit beautifully! They're very comfortable and toasty warm. I particularly love the way the pattern continues down the heel flap, which works perfectly for wearing them with my
Crocs.
My 2.5mm Clover DPNs are my favourite needles, so I'm thrilled to have a set in a different size. The keyring sock blocker is so cute and the tiny STR sock adorable. I'm thinking I might make myself a pair of gloves/mittens from the Artyarns. If I get a move on, I'll be able to wear them this winter. The chocolate will be savoured by this chocoholic ;o)
Many thanks
Hillary for being my
Bloomin' Feet pal. You've knitted me a pair of socks that I love. I'll wear them often and treasure them always. Thanks too for the fabulous goodies you also included.
The parcel contained...

my prize from
Meg's recent blog contest. It's 2 skeins of
Artyarns Ultramerino4, colourway #158, which is a range of greens with highlights of purple and pink. It's just gorgeous and is destined to become a pair of socks for me. Meg had asked me if I wanted to choose my prize or be surprised... I opted for being surprised and I couldn't be more delighted with what Meg selected. Many thanks Meg!
