    I used about 20 grams of wool, so theoretically I should be able to get 5 out of a ball of Opal sock yarn.

    With the cuff unrolled, it's about 15cm/6 inches from top to bottom. It's about 18cm/7 inches across the bottom, (36cm/14 inches across if you knit it flat, before sewing it up). I used 3.25mm needles, so it's fairly stretchy.
